Our Mornington Horse Racing Tips for Tuesday’s meeting.

Prince Of Mercia (Mornington Race 3 No. 4)

This three-year-old Magnus gelding trained at the track has ran 2nd three times from his four starts. He was leading to the turn and only went down late for 0.4 length 2nd over 1300m at Bendigo on 23 February, then chased solidly and peaked late for 1.25 length 2nd over 1200m at Sandown Lakeside. He has had an eight week let-up and won a recent Cranbourne trial. Has Jamie Kah riding and should win.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Dixiana (Mornington Race 8 No. 9):

This three-year-old Street Boss filly trained by James Cummings has one win and one place from three starts. She was an early leader but was headed inside the 200m and battled on for 0.75, 2.25 lengths 3rd over 1100m at Bendigo on 6 April, then settled midfield and ran on strongly to charge clear in the last few strides for a 1.25 length win over 1000m at Moe on 25 April on soft going. She looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay

Fortune Follows (Mornington Race 7 No. 4):

This four-year-old Akeed Mofeed gelding trained by Patrick Caboche is the early favourite in this BM 58 over 1200m. He was a 2.25 length winner in a 0-58 Handicap over 1212m at Kyneton on 17 April, then ran a close 2nd in a tight finish over 1200m at Kyneton on 3 May. He doesn’t represent value at this short price.

Best Bet Socrazyinlove (Orange Race 1 No. 10) Trials have been excellent and the stable have opted for this race as the right target. Collett rides from the good draw, the early market support is ideal and this race looks very much within reach.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Tuesday 22nd October 2024

Key Comments The track is in the soft range. The best bet has been a model of consistency lately and can score a well overdue win. Expecting the track to suit leaders as it traditionally does. Best Bet Ausbred Cooee (Grafton Race 3 No. 5) Due for a win off back to back placings and this looks if anything, slightly easier than last start despite reading the same grade. In very well at the weights after the claim, flies on this track and

Key Comments There are 8 races. The track is soft and the rail in the true position. Best Bet Colonel Parker (Gatton Race 2 No. 8) Runner-up at Toowoomba at his only start. Should take improvement from that experience and should be hard to beat from the good barrier. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way All I Want Is You (Gatton Race 7 No. 1) Came from the back of the field to

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Monday 21st October 2024

Key Comments The track is in the soft range. Expecting all runners to have their chance on this typically fair playing track. Alysha Collett rides the best of the day and comes up mid way through the day. Best Bet Don't Doubt Merlin (Muswellbrook Race 3 No. 5) Big win on debut then tipped out after being a beaten $2.40 favourite at start number two but far from disgraced. A recent trial in heavy conditions was a strong piece of work and kicking
