Our Mornington Horse Racing Tips for Tuesday’s meeting.
Prince Of Mercia (Mornington Race 3 No. 4)
This three-year-old Magnus gelding trained at the track has ran 2nd three times from his four starts. He was leading to the turn and only went down late for 0.4 length 2nd over 1300m at Bendigo on 23 February, then chased solidly and peaked late for 1.25 length 2nd over 1200m at Sandown Lakeside. He has had an eight week let-up and won a recent Cranbourne trial. Has Jamie Kah riding and should win.

Each Way
Dixiana (Mornington Race 8 No. 9):
This three-year-old Street Boss filly trained by James Cummings has one win and one place from three starts. She was an early leader but was headed inside the 200m and battled on for 0.75, 2.25 lengths 3rd over 1100m at Bendigo on 6 April, then settled midfield and ran on strongly to charge clear in the last few strides for a 1.25 length win over 1000m at Moe on 25 April on soft going. She looks a nice each-way bet.

Fortune Follows (Mornington Race 7 No. 4):
This four-year-old Akeed Mofeed gelding trained by Patrick Caboche is the early favourite in this BM 58 over 1200m. He was a 2.25 length winner in a 0-58 Handicap over 1212m at Kyneton on 17 April, then ran a close 2nd in a tight finish over 1200m at Kyneton on 3 May. He doesn’t represent value at this short price.
