Our Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips for Saturday meeting.

Pandemic (Moonee Valley Race 4 No. 7)

Pandemic returns to the races after a 55 day let up. He was a dominant winner of the Christmas Stakes on Boxing Day, then was taking good ground off Fabergino late when dropping back to 1000m in the Kensington Stakes – Fabergino subsequently ran well in a Lightning Stakes.  He has trialed up well, fly’s fresh and is much better suited stepping back up to 1200m.

Each Way

Beltoro (Moonee Valley Race 5 No. 4):

Loved his run in the Australian Guineas.  He ran the second fastest last 200m split of the race and was getting stronger the further they went.  He is bred to eat up 2000m which he sees here for the first time and also gets the addition of blinkers.  Expecting him to run a big race at an each-way price.

Best Lay

The Billionaire (Moonee Valley Race 9 No. 10):

The Billionaire has come up favourite in the last race on the card.  He won a maiden at the start of this preparation and then did a good job last time to lead and keep kicking in a benchmark 64 at Wangaratta.  However, he takes a big step up in class here and although he gets Jamie Kah I think he is well found in early markets.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Sunday 21st July 2024

Key Comments The track is in the soft range which suits the best bet who has been tough to catch lately but looks a big price stepping down in grade. Best Bet Cross The Rubicon (Hawkesbury Race 8 No. 3) Was a solid run last start when jumping far better and sent to the front. Ridden upside down but didn't mind the tactics. Schofield sticks for the ride, drops in grade and hasn't seen this kind of level for a few years now.

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Saturday 20th July 2024

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is +2 metres from the 400m to the 1600m and+1 metre for the remainder. The first race is at 4.59pm AEST. Best Bet Brave Warrior (Toowoomba Race 3 No. 7) Brave Warrior is a consistent galloper who has been runner-up at his last 2 starts. Last start he was picked off in the final strides at this track and trip. Should be fitter now and has drawn the inside barrier. Hard to beat.

Horse Racing Tips: NT Saturday 20th July 2024

Key Comments The feature is the $135,000 NT Derby over 2050m (race 7). The track is sand and is rated good and the weather is fine. Best Bet Whitten (Darwin Race 2 No. 3) Whitten resumed from a let-up to be runner-up over 1200m here on 29th June. She’s nicely drawn and gets a 1.5kg claim for Emma Lines. Will run well.
