Our Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips for Saturday meeting.

Pandemic (Moonee Valley Race 4 No. 7)

Pandemic returns to the races after a 55 day let up. He was a dominant winner of the Christmas Stakes on Boxing Day, then was taking good ground off Fabergino late when dropping back to 1000m in the Kensington Stakes – Fabergino subsequently ran well in a Lightning Stakes.  He has trialed up well, fly’s fresh and is much better suited stepping back up to 1200m.

Each Way

Beltoro (Moonee Valley Race 5 No. 4):

Loved his run in the Australian Guineas.  He ran the second fastest last 200m split of the race and was getting stronger the further they went.  He is bred to eat up 2000m which he sees here for the first time and also gets the addition of blinkers.  Expecting him to run a big race at an each-way price.

$7.50

Best Lay

The Billionaire (Moonee Valley Race 9 No. 10):

The Billionaire has come up favourite in the last race on the card.  He won a maiden at the start of this preparation and then did a good job last time to lead and keep kicking in a benchmark 64 at Wangaratta.  However, he takes a big step up in class here and although he gets Jamie Kah I think he is well found in early markets.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 18th January 2025

Key Comments On pace runners typically suited here. The best bet comes up earlier on in the day and can build off a solid second placing when first up in what is a highly suitable field. Best Bet Firework (Wyong Race 2 No. 1) Put the writing on the wall fresh in a race no harder than this. Latham is an eye catching booking and this field lacks depth. With even luck from the wide draw should be going close. Check odds
