Navy Cross (Eagle Farm Race 6 No. 4):
This gelding trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott looks like a good stayer in the making. He has 4 wins and 3 places from 10 starts and his wins range from 1600m to 2200m. He fought on tenaciously for a tough 0.1 length win over 1900m at Canterbury on 6 May then travelled to Queensland to win by 0.2 lengths over 2200m at Sunshine Coast on 27 May. He seems a good each-way chance at the current price.

Aquitaine (Eagle Farm Race 9 No. 7):
This Exceed And Excel filly trained by James Cummings has only missed a trifecta spot once in 8 runs. She ran on well when clear for 0.3 lengths, 0.2 lengths 3rd in the Group 3 Kevin Hayes Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield on 8 February, then came back from a spell for 1.3 lengths 2nd in the Listed Denise Joy Stakes over 1100m at Rosehill on 16th May. She will run well but is up against some good rivals and does not look like value.
