Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, this three-year-old Dawn Approach colt has already won 4 of his 9 starts and placed twice. He chased hard to find the front and raced away for a 2.8 length win in the Group 3 Hawkesbury Guineas over 1400m held at Rosehill on 25 April, then took over at the 300m and kept going for a 1.3 length win in the Inglis 3YO Guineas over 1400m at Rosehill on 16 May. He looks well placed in this Group 3 race over 1350m as he is better suited at this distance range than most of his rivals.

This Choisir gelding has been a model of consistency with 4 wins, a second, a third and a fourth from his 7 runs this campaign. He led for most of the way but the leader was to strong when he finished 0.2 length 2nd over 900m at Gold Coast on 24 April, then he led nearly all the way and drew away at the 200m to win by 1.75 lengths over 900m at Gold Coast on 22 May. He won at his only start at this track in a 1350m three-year-old handicap in June last year and should make his presence felt here.

Chris Waller has 4 runners in this Listed race and it is this three-year-old filly that is the early favourite against the older mares. She ran 0.2 lengths 2nd in the Group 3 James HB Carr Stakes over 1400m at Randwick on 18 April, then finished 2.3 lengths 4th over 1400m at Randwick on 9 May. She has drawn barrier 15 which will not help in this big field, and does not look like a value runner in what is a very open race.
