This Snitzel gelding has a great record at this distance, loves this track and has won 3 from 3 on a soft track. He won the Listed Hinkler Quality Handicap in the last stride over 1110m at Doomben on 30 May, then ran on from well back in the field to finish 1.25 lengths, 0.1 length 3rd in the listed Ascot Handicap over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 13 June. He always runs well and should be able to notch up another Listed win here.

Doctor Zous (Doomben Race 3 No. 9):
This Zoustar gelding has a career record of 5 wins and 4 places from 12 starts. He finished last campaign with 0.5 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Sunshine Coast on 25 January, then resumed from a spell with a 0.2 length win on a soft track over 1050m at Doomben on 10 June. He drops 4.5kg from that run, and as he won second-up last campaign he looks a good value each-way bet.

Cellarmaid (Doomben Race 2 No. 8):
This Husson filly is the early favourite in this three-year-old plate over 2030m. She hit the front 100m from home but was caught late when 0.3 lengths 2nd over 1800m on a heavy track at the Gold Coast on 22 May. Last start she came from well back to finish 1.25 lengths 2nd in the Group 2 The Roses over 1800m at Eagle Farm on 13 June. She drops back in grade here but there are several potential winners in the field and she is not value.
