This six-year-old Mossman gelding trained by Matthew Dale at Canberra has five wins and nine place from 27 starts. He jumped awkwardly and settled at the rear before chasing hard for 3 lengths 6th over 1000m at Kensington on heavy going on 2 January where he had the best overall race sectionals, then he switched inside the leader at the 150m and chased hard to just miss when 0.1 length 2nd over 1100m at Canterbury Park on 22 January. Has won two of six at this track and distance combination and with Hugh Bowman riding he looks set to win.

This six-year-old Rebel Raider mare trained by Anthony Mountney at Kembla Grange has won six of her 18 starts. She made some ground for 3.1 lengths 6th over 1250m at Canterbury Park on 1 January, then kept coming for 0.8 length 2nd over 1400m at Warwick Farm on 13 January. She has a 3kg claim here and looks a nice each-way bet.

Guise (Randwick Race 5 No. 2):
This five-year-old So You Think mare is the early favourite in this BM 72 Handicap over 1800m. She resumed from a 17 week spell for 1.5 lengths 4th over 1400m at Warwick Farm on 13 January, then was bumped several times before finishing 4.5 lengths 13th over 1600m at Randwick on 23 January. There are several last-start winners in the race and at her current price there is no value.
