Best Bets

Our Randwick- Kensington Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Marsannay  (Randwick Race 5 No. 6)
This three-year-old Snitzel colt trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott has two wins and four place from eight starts. He fought on for 2, 0.3 lengths 3rd over 1300m at Gold Coast on 9 January then was the leader straightening and was run down late for 0.8, 0.1 lengths 3rd on a soft track over 1400m at Rosehill on 30 January. Last start he was well-backed and has run three placings from three runs this preparation. Is ready to win.

Each Way

The Neon Knight (Randwick Race 6 No. 7):
This three-year-old All Too Hard filly trained by Jeff Englebrecht at Wyong has won all four starts this campaign, with two of those wins on heavy tracks. She chased solidly, hit the front at the 100m and held on for a 0.4 length win over 1000m at Tamworth on 21 January, then chased hard to find the front at the 200m and kept going for a 1.08 length win on a heavy track over 900m at Newcastle on 6 February. She looks capable of a city race and I thinks she a great each-way bet.

Best Lay

Brookspire (Randwick Race 7 No. 6):
This three-year-old Hinchinbrook filly is the early favourite in this F&M BM 72 Handicap over 1400m. On debut she ran 0.2 lengths 2nd over 1250m at Kensington on 4 December, then she crossed the line 2nd but won on protest after being hampered at the 300m in a maiden plate over 1400m at Kensington on 17 December. She has the outside barrier and will find this race much tougher, so offers no value at the current price.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Tuesday 21st May 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet is in the first. It is short but looks extremely hard to beat. Best Bet Fayetta (Ballarat Race 1 No. 5) Hard to beat here first up. Has the right form to give this a shake. Maps well from barrier 3 and the apprentice is absolutely flying. Suited to this field. Horse Racing Tips: QLD Tuesday 21st May 2024

Key Comments There is a huge 10 race program. The track is rated soft and the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Pope Cody (Warwick Race 1 No. 4) There are plenty of first starters in this race and Pope Cody is one of them. He has impressed winning both his trials by clear margins and has a nice barrier. Looks capable of starting his career with a win. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Monday 20th May 2024

Key Comments The track is rated as good and the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Born Fearless (Chinchilla Race 2 No. 5) Born Fearless struck interference at the start and ended up runner-up at Gatton on 10th May. Has been runner-up twice in 4 runs this preparation and gets blinkers on here. Had to beat. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Craiglea Laki (Chinchilla Race 4 No. 9) Last-start winner

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Monday 20th May 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The track has been playing to those on speed lately. The first selection should be winning and makes a nice multi with the best bet. Best Bet Dantooine (Stawell Race 8 No. 1) Racing well and while the form from the Bool carnival has been sus, this 3yo Gelding made good ground on a track suiting those on speed. Maps well from barrier 5 and ticks all the boxes. Check odds on SmartB Analyst:
