This five-year-old Galileo gelding trained by Bjorn Baker has five wins and six places from 22 starts. He came from last to run on strongly on the heavy track and win by 1.84 lengths over 2000m at Randwick on 10 July, then ran on from well back for 2.09 lengths 5th over 2400m at Rosehill with the best last 600m race sectional. Powers home and should win.

Fastconi (Randwick Race 9 No. 4):
This four-year-old Nicconi gelding from the Chris Waller stable has three wins and seven places from 15 starts. He kept chasing but was no match for the winner late when 0.32 length 2nd over 1100m at Rosehill on 3 July, then ran on strongly to find the front at the 100m and raced away for a 2 length win over 1200m at Randwick on 17 July. Hasn’t finished worse than 4th in seven starts this campaign and looks a great each-way chance.

Bazooka (Randwick Race 5 No. 9):
This four-year-old Smart Missile gelding trained by David Payne is the early favourite in this Midway BM 72 handicap over 1800m. He only battled in the straight on the heavy track for 5.8 lengths 3rd over 1300m at Randwick on 10 July, then came from well back in the field for 2.96 lengths 2nd over 1500m at Rosehill on 24 July. Will run his usual honest race but with only one win from 20 starts I am prepared to risk him here.
