This Helmet gelding has had two runs this campaign for a 0.2 length win over 1100m at Warwick Farm on 8 April then he finished 2.3 lengths, 1.3 lengths 3rd over 1100m at Kensington on 2 May where he had the best 800m-400m race sectional. Hugh Bowman takes she ride and he should be able to get back in the winner’s circle.

Misteed (Randwick Race 6 No. 5):
This Exceed And Excel mare has a good record at this track and distance and can handle rain-affected going. She settled well back in the field and was held up from the 400m-200m and got a split at the 150m to finish 3 lengths, 1.3 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Randwick on a soft track on 9 May, then was held up in the early part of the straight but kept chasing to finish 4.3 lengths 5th over 1200m at Randwick on a heavy track on 23 May. She is due for a change of luck and has a good chance to at least run a place here.

Humbolt Current (Randwick Race 4 No. 3):
This Fastnet Rock gelding trained by Chris Waller is the early favourite in this staying race. He battled on steadily for 6.9 lengths 9th over 2600m at Flemington on 25 April, then chased hard for 0.8 lengths, 0.2 lengths 3rd over 2400m at Rosehill on 16 May. He has not won on soft or heavy going and does not look like value.
