Our Randwick Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

North Pacific (Randwick Race 7 No. 2)
This Brazen Beau colt from the Hawkes stable has only had 2 starts and looks to have above-average ability. He debuted for 3.3 lengths, 1.3 lengths 3rd in the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes over 1100m at Rosehill on 22 February behind two smart youngsters then was turned out. He resumed for a 2.5 length win on a heavy track over 1100m at Rosehill on 11 July where he ran the best last 600m race sectional of the day at distance. That was an impressive win and he also won a trial on 4 August. He should win.

Each Way

De Grawin (Randwick Race 6 No. 7):
This Snitzel mare has had five starts for three wins and two places. She led all the way for a 2.5 length win over 1000m on a soft track at Nowra on 16 June, then after a short led-up she had her first race in the city where she led early and was pressured from the top of the straight but kept going strongly and fought hard for a 0.1 length win over 1000m on a heavy track at Randwickon 1 August. She looks to have above -average ability and is certainly worth an each-way bet at the current price.

Best Lay

All Saints’ Eve (Randwick Race 1 No. 3):
This Sacred Falls mare is the early favourite in this Fillies & Mares BM 78 Handicap over 1400m. She won a Class 1 at Newcastle by 2.45 lengths on 22 February, but there were only four runners. After that she chased hard for 0.1 length, 0.2 lengths 3rd in the Group 3 Kembla Grange Classic over 1600m on 13 March. She has had two trials in July but has no form on soft and heavy tracks, while other runners do. I don’t think she will win and she is not a value bet.
