Double Spice (Belmont Race 5 No. 1)
This five-year-old Gingerbread Man gelding trained by Stephen Miller has two wins and five places from 11 starts. After an 11 week let-up he ran on strongly for 0.3 length 3rd over 1300m at Belmont on 26 June, then keep coming to finish 1.2 lengths 4th over 1300m at Belmont on 7 August. Likely to race o the speed and rates highly.

Many Mansions (Belmont Race 8 No. 5):
This four-year-old War Chant gelding has one win and two places from eight starts. He was leading but started to tire at the 200m and was overrun for 1.7 lengths 5th over 1400m at Kalgoorlie on 25 July, then he took over at the 200m and got away for a 2.4 length win over 1600m at Kalgoorlie on 1 August to break his maiden. Looks a nice each-way chance with William Pike aboard.

Sassy Trader (Belmont Race 2 No. 6):
This four-year-old Trade Fair gelding is the early favourite in this No Metro Wins Last Year Special Conditions Handicap over 1200m. He led into the straight but tired and finished 4.5 lengths 9th over 1100m at Ascot on 15 May, then peaked at the 150m for 3.5 lengths 6th over 1000m at Belmont on a heavy track. Seems to have trouble finishing his races off and I’m prepared to risk him here.

Key Comments The rail is out 4 metres. The feature races include the Straight Six (race 7) and the Andrew Ramsden (race 8). The best bet looks well placed to bounce back and very hard to beat if finding its old form. Best Bet Niance (Flemington Race 3 No. 7) Had excuses last start when bungling the jump. Looks really hard to beat if finding its old form and there was so much to like about the wins prior. Looks way over the

Key Comments The rail is out 4 metres. The best bet comes up in the second race and is a very progressive type that can continue on its winning spree. Best Bet Affluential (Werribee Race 2 No. 4) Has been on a winning spree and showing no signs of slowing down. Should land in a beautiful spot from the draw and no reason to suggest it can't win again on the way to better races. Check odds on SmartB Analyst:
Horse Racing Tips: ACT Friday 17th May 2024
Key Comments The rail is true. Racing on the synthetic. The best bet comes up in the first and just needs even luck from the barrier to be winning. Best Bet Howgoodisvegas (Canberra Race 1 No. 1) 2 wins on the trot and both of them have been convincing. Should be able to slide forward from the wide draw and make It three in a row.
