Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Kaptain Kaos (Ascot Race 8 No. 5)
This three-year-old Demerit gelding has one win and two places from four starts. At the end of last campaign he faded in the final 150m for 2.75 lengths 6th over 1200m at Bunbury on 20 December. He resumed for a 2.07 length win over 1200m at Bunbury on 11 March where he had the best final 400m of the meeting. With the inside barrier and Chris Parnham aboard he looks perfectly placed to win again.

Each Way

Carabinier (Ascot Race 5 No. 3):
This four-year-old gelding trained by Paul Jordan at Ascot has raced 17 times for three wins and two places. Last campaign he struggled in the straight for 10.7 lengths 14th over 1400m at Ascot on 7 November, then was slowly away and finished 5.19 lengths 7th over 1300m at Northam on 19 November. He resumes here from a 17 week spell and won a recent trial at Belmont. Last campaign he won first-up last campaign and goes well fresh. He is worth an each-way bet.

Best Lay

Great Waters (Ascot Race 7 No. 1):
This four-year-old Dundeel gelding has three wins and three places from 14 starts and is the early favourite in this Class 3 Handicap over 1600m. He battled evenly for 3.7 lengths 7th over 2200m at Ascot on 21 November, then finished 5.98 lengths 7th over 2200m at Ascot on 5 December. Resuming from a 15 week break he looks a risk with the big weight and a wide draw.

Our Gawler Racing Tips for Wednesday's meeting. Key Comments The track is a Soft 5, and the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Mavette  (Gawler Race 5 No. 1) Mavette only just missed last start to be runner-up over 1516m at Gawler . He hasn't finished further back than 4th in 7 runs this preparation and the step up in distance looks to suit. Has solid claims. $2.80   Best Each Way

The rail is in the true position. Best Bet Et Tu Brute (Sandown Hillside Race 3 No. 2) Gets the gun run from barrier 2 and has Lane steering. Rates clear of this bunch and looks very hard to beat in this field. The market agrees

Our Rosehill Tips for Wednesday's meeting. Comments The rail is in 6 metres. Keep an eye on the market moves for the best bet. Best Bet Gold Revolver (Rosehill Race 6 No. 1) Good enough to win this fresh. The win over Jenilala reads super last prep. Can land on the speed and give a sight. Our Doomben Horse Racing Tips for the 28th of February. The track is in the soft range. The rail is +7 metres. Best Bet Real Rush (Doomben Race 4 No. 12) Has had a stack of market support early. Barrier 9 makes things a little tricky but has won 2 from 3 trials and looks very well placed in this moderate company. $2.45   Best Each Way The Drover (Doomben Race 5 No. 1) Hard
