Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Triple Missile (Ascot Race 6 No. 4)
This three-year-old Smart Missile gelding has only had two race starts and has won them both. He debuted with a 2.19 length win over 1200m at Belmont on 16 September where he drew clear in the final 100m, then he caught the leader late for a 0.58 length win over 1000m at Ascot on 10 February. He is clearly very talented, and only bad luck can beat him.

Each Way

Lording (Ascot Race 8 No. 2):
This four-year-old Trade Fair gelding has raced nine times for one win and three places. He resumed after 19 weeks for 1.77 lengths 6th in a bunched finish over 1000m at Ascot on 27 January, then improved considerably to come from last for a very close 2nd over 1200m at Ascot on 10 February. The extra 200m is in his favour and he looks a good each-way chance here.

Best Lay

Pablo’s Poem (Ascot Race 7 No. 3):
This five-year-old Lope De Vega gelding is the early favourite in this No Metro Wins Last Year race over 1200m. Last campaign he faded for 7 lengths 14th over 1400m at Ascot on 24 October, then was spelled. He resumed for 3.09 lengths 12th over 1000m at Ascot on 13 February, where he was held-up at times. He seems too short in the market based on recent performances and I’m happy to risk him.

Black Bookers: Flemington (Saturday 20th February 2021)

Black bookers from last Saturday's Blue Diamond Stakes meeting at Caulfield. Black Booker #1 San Huberto (Race 1) A nice return from San Huberto in the Mornington Cup Prelude.  He had to lump 60kg on Saturday and was only beaten narrowly by the inform Defibrillate over a distance clearly short of his best.  He started $5 in the Prix Kergorlay in France on August 23.  That race often produces horses that run well in the Melbourne Cup which is a good indication that he has some real

Best Bets Our Penola Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting. Bossy Britches  (Penola Race 2 No. 3) This five-year-old Street Boss mare has had 19 starts for four wins and three places, and has a win at this track. She ran on strongly out wide to just miss when 0.1 length 2nd over 2000m at Warrnambool on 25 January. then took the lead at the top of the straight and kept going for a 0.7 length win over 2000m at Naracoorte on 7 February. She has been going

Best Bets Our Launceston Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting. The feature races are the $250,000 Launceston Cup (race 8), the Vamos Stakes (race 9) and the Mowbray Stakes(race 7). War Correspondent (Launceston Race 5 No. 1) This Time For War gelding looks well-placed in this 3YO Classic with three wins and four places from his seven starts. He was far too good for the rest when he won a 3YO Cup by 2.75 lengths over 1200m at Launceston on 21 November, then after a 10 week break

Best Bets Our Ipswich Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday's meeting. Jakama (Ipswich Race 6 No. 3) This four-year-old  gelding trained by John Dann at Toowoomba has had three wins and a place from 12 starts. When resuming from an 18 week spell he chased solidly along the fence for 3.4 lengths 5th over 1200m at Beaudesert on 28 December, then he ran on for an easy 2 length win over 1200m at Ipswich on 3 February. He should be fitter now and can make it back-to-back wins.
