Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.
Secret Pearl (Ascot Race 6 No. 3)
This four-year-old mare has had five wins from 20 starts. She ran on strongly late for a 0.27 length win over 2200m at Ascot on 18 November, then wound-up steadily and drew clear over the final 100m for a 1.53 length win over 1800m at Ascot on 9 December. Brutus Maximus (Ascot Race 7 No. 2):
This six-year-old Fastnet Rock gelding has two wins and three places from 10 starts. He resumed from an 11 week break for 1.22, 0.02 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Ascot on 18 November, where he had the best final 400m sectional of the meeting, then he wound up gamely to win by 0.32 lengths over 1300m at Pinjarra Park on 6 December. He should go well again and looks a nice each-way bet.

Tinto Belle (Ascot Race 5 No. 4):
This five-year-old mare is the early favourite in this Class 3 handicap over 1000m. At the end of last campaign she dropped out to finish last in a field of 11 over 1200m at Belmont on 8 August. She resumed after 17 weeks for 0.51 lengths 2nd over 1000m at Ascot on 9 December. This is a race with several chances and she doesn’t represent value.
