Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.
Timely Outburst (Ascot Race 4 No. 5)
This three-year-old Sessions filly trained by Stephen Miller has two wins from two starts. She debuted with a 2.74 length win over 1000m at Pinjarra Park on 28 December, then spelled for 17 weeks. On resuming she took over at the 100m and raced away for a 1.97 length win in a Class One Handicap over 1000m at Ascot on 28 April. She looks to have plenty of improvement in her and is clearly the one to beat.

Each Way
Karli’s Karma (Ascot Race 3 No. 6):
This three-year-old Deep Field filly has had five starts for a win and two places. She was held up from the turn to the 150m and ran on strongly for a very close 2nd over 1200m at Pinjarra Park on 17 December, then took over at the 150m and won by 0.55 length over 1300m at Pinjarra Park on 28 December. Resumes from a 19 week spell and has trialled at Belmont. Looks a nice each-way chance in this Class One Handicap.

Best Lay
Lord Lonsdale (Ascot Race 7 No. 1):
This four-year-old Maschino gelding is the early favourite in this 2YO & Up Class 3 Handicap over 1600m. On resuming from an 18 week spell he started favourite and fought on for 2.79 lengths 4th over 1200m at Ascot on 27 March, then started favourite again and finished 2.87 lengths 4th over 1500m at Ascot on 21 April. Drawn perfectly in barrier 1 I want to see him improve before I back him again and he is no value at the current price.

Key Comments The track is in the soft range. The rail is in the true position. The best bet lobs in the first and is ready to win. Should get every hope from the kind draw. Best Bet Buy Me A Birkin (Coonabarabran Race 1 No. 6) Hasn't missed the placings this prep from 3 goes and won't get a better chance to win than this. Smart use of the claim, maps well and simply weighted to beat this lot off the back

Key Comments Very keen on the chances of the best bet who should relish getting off heavy ground and looks well placed racing back on its home track. Best Bet Zaragoza (Kembla Grange Race 7 No. 2) Surprised it isn't favourite. Enormous win 2 runs back beating a smart one on this track. Found the going too tough fresh but but bumped into a handy field including The Black Cloud who has won convincingly up in grade since. Tough draw but has the

Key Comments The feature is the $50,000 Metric Mile over 1600m (race 7). The track is sand and is rated good and the weather is fine. Best Bet Miss Polly (Darwin Race 1 No. 6) She came from the outside barrier to be runner-up on debut over 1200m here. Emma Lines rides again and has a 1.5 kg claim, and this time she has draw the rails. Hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson
