Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Race 8 is the Group 2 Lee Steere Stakes and race 7 is the Fairetha Stakes..

Notorious One (Ascot Race 5 No. 6)
This five-year-old Animal Kingdom gelding has three wins from his four starts. He peeled five-wide into the straight and ran on in a bunched finish for 0.65 length 7th over 1600m at Ascot on 17 October, then took over at the 200m and won by 1.17 lengths over 1600m at Ascot on 31 October. He is on a seven-day back-up and should be able to win again.

Each Way

Em Tee Aye (Ascot Race 7 No. 3):
This I’m All The Talk gelding trained by Trevor Andrews has three wins and two places from eight starts. He resumed from a 25 week spell with a 0.16 length win over 1200m at Ascot on 14 October, then took over at the 100m to win by 0.91 length over 1400m at Ascot on 24 October. He beat Dom To Shoot in that race but meets him worse at the weights here. Looks an each-way chance.

Best Lay

Naughty By Nature (Ascot Race 4 No. 9):
This four-year-old mare is the early favourite in this 72+ benchmark handicap over 1600m. She resumed from a 26 week spell for 5.04 lengths 9th over 1200m at Ascot on 10 October where she was blocked late, then she finished steadily for 2.46 lengths 6th over 1400m at Ascot on 24 October. Other runners have better recent form and she does not represent value.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 17th May 2024

Key Comments The rail is out 9 metres the entire way. The best bet comes up in the last race of the day and is progressive enough to go right on with things. Best Bet Hypeman (Cranbourne Race 8 No. 6) Won nicely breaking maiden and looks progressive enough to go on with things here. Can bounce to the front from barrier 1 and looks a suitable race for Ethan Brown to take out. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Friday 17th May 2024

Key Comments The feature race is the Scone Cup (race 8). The rail is in the true position. The best bet looks a sure thing. Best Bet La Pleine Lune (Scone Race 5 No. 3) Absolutely romped in on debut. Concede it was in the right part of the track when the rail as hot however the race rated well, it had plenty more to give and the runner up has walked in since. Looks the good thing of all good things.
