Otheroneson | (Belmont Race 7 No. 9)

This is a hot little race and I expect to get a price slightly bigger than his current price. This son of Demerit is yet to finish outside of the top two in six starts and I don’t see that happening here. He drops back to 1400m whilst stepping up in grade after a monster win at Ascot over the mile last time out. He is drawn out in barrier seven but I have him mapped four pairs back off the rail, so I expect him to be peeling off them on the turn before hitting the line solidly.

Current Price: $2.10

Revitup | (Belmont Race 3 No.1)

This bloke was way too good on resumption and showed he is in for a good preparation. Not only does he face a lot of inexperienced runners here, but he is drawn ideally and maps to get the run of the race. Holly Watson goes aboard, which gives him a 2kg weight relief and she is coming off a treble of wins on Wednesday’s Belmont card. With even luck, he is hard to beat.

Current Price: $1.95

Suggested Bets

All Suggested bets will be posted here on Race Day before Midday

Race 1 – No.2 Double Digit

Small field, favourite is way unders. Should get a comfortable run behind the leading pair. CJP on is a massive coup, and he should be able to show a bit more of a dash in this likely sit and sprint. Looks a good bet in the opener.

 Race 3 – No.1 Revitup – Next Best

Was too good on resumption and meets a very inexperienced field. Watson is coming off a treble on Wednesday and takes the 2kg off. Drawn and maps like a dream and looks hard to beat.

Race 5 – No.6 Colossal

Hot race this one but I am with the unbeaten son of Snitzel out of the talented Hallowell Belle. Beat a decent field last time out by under a length, hence why I reckon the blinkers are going on first time with the tongue tie. Draw and map are big ticks, back to 1000m is okay.

Race 6 – No.7 Savage One

Been backed in from $7.50 to favourtism. Likely to show intent from the wide gate to sit in the first couple or lead. Form has been good without winning. If they can get to the front and dictate (highly likely) he is going to take catching up to the mile. Pretty Friar is one that can run a race at odds.

Race 7 – No.9 Otheroneson – Best Bet

Yet to finish outside the top 2 in six career starts. Back in grade and up to 1400m looks ideal. I have him mapped four pairs back off the fence, so he should get every chance. It’s a hot little race but he is one talented gelding.

Race 8 – No.4 Searchin Rocs

Should be able to sit in front two from the draw. Fought really well first-up against Rokanori who she meets 5kg better off. Distance suits, beaten some good horses in the past so the class is there. If she can dictate, she will be hard to run down.

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet is in the last and is a progressive type looking to notch up another win. Best Bet Code In Time (Kembla Grange Race 8 No. 2) Has been progressive this prep with 2 strong wins. Strikes a similar race and maps well. No reason why it can't win again taking the leap in grade.
