Best Bets

Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday meeting.

Spooning (Sandown Hillside Race 3 No. 2):

Spooning impressed winning her maiden by four lengths first up at Pakenham, then fought on well to finish third in Group 3 company in Adelaide last time.  Drops right back to benchmark 70 level here, gets Jamie Kah for the first time and maps to get a great run from barrier five.  Hard to beat.

Each Way

Oceans Jen (Sandown Hillside Race 1 No. 6):

Oceans Jen, now with the Douglas Arnold stable, resumes here in her second preparation.   She has won two recent Cranbourne jump outs and looks to have come back in really good order.  Expecting her to settle handy in the run and be given every chance to break through for her first win by Jye McNeil.

Best Lay

Royal Fox (Sandown Hillside Race 2 No. 3):

Two-year-old filly trained by Matthew Williams at Warrnambool.  She hit the line well when finishing third on her home track at Warrnambool last time but did have significant track bias in her favour.  Looks well found at $4.20 in the early markets.

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is out 0.5 metre from the 900m to 600m, and +1.5 metres from the 600m to 250m. Best Bet Levar (Gatton Race 1 No. 4) Levar was a close 3rd at Ipswich at his only start. From the inside barrier he should go straight to the front and should be able to stay there. Top rated. Key Comments There are 8 races at Pinjarra Park. The track is soft and the rail remains in the true position. Best Bet Processio (Pinjarra Race 2 No. 6) This filly was a neck 2nd when resuming over 1200m at Bunbury on 2nd June. There was a 6 length gap to 3rd. Looks a strong chance here. Horse Racing Tips: NSW Thursday 20th June 2024

Key Comments Suitable track for those who can sustain a long finale. The rail is in 3 metres from the 1100m mark to the winning post and true for the remainder. The track is in the soft range. The best bet brings in some very strong form lines. Best Bet Recruiter (Kembla Grange Race 5 No. 4) Tough draw to overcome but love the form lines around this runner with 3 horses to have subsequently run and won including Art Volant and Waterski

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Wednesday 19th June 2024

Key Comments The track is in the heavy range. The rail is out 3 metres. The best bet comes up in race three and showed promising signs on debut and followed that up last start. Should prove hard to hold out. Best Bet Grassburn (Canterbury Race 3 No. 4) Both seconds to date have been very good efforts and strikes a suitable affair here. The map is ideal from the draw and the current favourite arrives at odds that look too short. Nice
