Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday.

Real Sensation (Sandown Hillside Race 8 No. 6)

Four year old gelding who has raced with little luck at all three runs this campaign, including last start when badly held up here before flashing home into third in the fast last 200m closing split of the meeting. Is ready to peak fourth up and I can’t see Craig Williams making the same mistake as last time.  Look for him to peel wide on the bend and give Real Sensation his chance to unleash his big turn of foot.

Each Way

Shove Over (Sandown Hillside Race 6 No. 6)

In form galloper trained by John Moloney.  Won twice at the start of the prep then very competitive against Rock Artist who subsequently ran well at Caulfield.  Last start wasn’t far away in a good three year old event at Flemington and I liked the way he travelled into the race before peaking on his run late.  Is back in grade here and drawn perfectly.  $14 looks a big price in early markets.

Best Lay

Freeways (Sandown Hillside Race 1 No. 7)

Freeways is currently rated a $6 chance in the opening race on the program.  Was given a perfect ride by Oliver to break his maiden at Bendigo last start .  This is much harder.  If you like him I think you will get closer to the $10 mark around jump time.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Sunday 21st July 2024

Key Comments The track is in the soft range which suits the best bet who has been tough to catch lately but looks a big price stepping down in grade. Best Bet Cross The Rubicon (Hawkesbury Race 8 No. 3) Was a solid run last start when jumping far better and sent to the front. Ridden upside down but didn't mind the tactics. Schofield sticks for the ride, drops in grade and hasn't seen this kind of level for a few years now.

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Saturday 20th July 2024

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is +2 metres from the 400m to the 1600m and+1 metre for the remainder. The first race is at 4.59pm AEST. Best Bet Brave Warrior (Toowoomba Race 3 No. 7) Brave Warrior is a consistent galloper who has been runner-up at his last 2 starts. Last start he was picked off in the final strides at this track and trip. Should be fitter now and has drawn the inside barrier. Hard to beat.

Horse Racing Tips: NT Saturday 20th July 2024

Key Comments The feature is the $135,000 NT Derby over 2050m (race 7). The track is sand and is rated good and the weather is fine. Best Bet Whitten (Darwin Race 2 No. 3) Whitten resumed from a let-up to be runner-up over 1200m here on 29th June. She’s nicely drawn and gets a 1.5kg claim for Emma Lines. Will run well. Horse Racing Tips: QLD Saturday 20th July 2024

Key Comments Feature races are the Winter Cup over 2000m (race 6) and Mayor's Sprint Open over 1200m (race 8). The track is soft and the rail is +3.5 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Lady Damus (Townsville Race 4 No. 7) She’s in great form with 2 wins and 2 places from 4 runs this preparation. Won by 2.3 lengths over 1000m last start and is good enough to win again.
