Douceur was home in strong splits to win impressively at Ballarat on debut in March. Paddy Payne has given her eleven weeks between runs and three jump outs to get her ready for this second up assignment. She should get a lovely run from barrier six and looks as though she will relish the extra distance.

Three year old gelding trained by Pat Carey at Mornington. He resumed from a let up on the Hillside here two weeks ago, flashing home from the back to run second over 1000m. He should take good improvement from that run and looks suited stepping back up in distance here.

Token Spirit (Sandown Lakeside Race 1 No. 4):
Token Spirit has come up a $3.30 chance in the opening race on the card. This is not a strong benchmark 78 however his only win came in a Benalla maiden last September and the favourite Marcolt started a lot shorter and was a better run when they clashed at Flemington last start.
