Monbaher was outstanding on its Australian debut circling the field and winning with ease on a day where it was the only horse to win from a further settling position than 4th. Not only did it defy the track bias but it was also eased to the line in the concluding stages. While there is some talent in this race, Monbaher looks a star. The $3.00 is healthy odds.

Ceasar (Sandown Race 7 No. 1)
Ceasar was most unlucky last start but did win in this grade prior beating a handy field. Drawn out wide does suit its running pattern and it just needs to find cover and the gaps at the right time to be running over this lot.

Constantinople (Sandown Race 4 No. 6)
Taking on Constantinople at the price. It was only a few weeks ago another similar scenario occurred with a fresh horse onto the scene of jumping. Trialled extremely well but simply did not bring it race day. While the flat form of Constantinople is excellent and the trials have been good, race day is always completely different. I’d prefer to see it go around at those odds with a few of these in the race having had plenty of experience.
