Quantum Mechanic (Sandown Hillside Race 5 No. 2):
Quantum Mechanic is a winner of two races from her thirteen starts. She ran a solid fifth first up at Caulfield on December 16. Then last start at Flemington was badly held up at the back of a big field. Once clear she closed strongly to finish third. She looks set to peak here third up in a moderate race and with even luck is the one to beat.

Flostar (Sandown Hillside Race 9 No. 13):
Not a whole lot went right for this talented mare first up at Caulfield. There was good money around to suggest she was ready to run well, however she ended up in a terrible position back and wide. In the end she did a reasonable job to be beaten 3.6 lengths in a high rating race. With a clean jump she can settle closer in the run and make her presence felt.

Duke Of Neworleans (Sandown Hillside Race 6 No. 7):
This three year old gelding has come up as the early favourite in race six. He was an impressive debut maiden winner on heavy ground at Geelong. Then tackled a class 1 at Sandown on a good surface and appeared to have every chance when running third. He faces firm conditions again on Saturday and we are happy to risk him at the current odds.
