Grand Promenade (Sandown Hillside Race 4 No. 3):
Grand Promenade has had two runs back from a spell. He was good first up at Mornington behind Mohican Heights and then just missed in a fast run race at Caulfield last time. That looks a good platform for him to step out to 2400m for the first time this prep and he draws perfectly for John Allen who is one of the leading riders on the program.

Approach Discreet (Sandown Hillside Race 8 No. 3):
We made this son of Dawn Approach a black booker after an excellent first up run at Caulfield. He got back over the unsuitable distance of 1400m but was still able to hit the line very strongly to run fourth. He is unbeaten in three previous attempts here and is yet to miss a place second up.

See You In Spring (Sandown Hillside Race 1 No. 5):
See You In Spring has come up as the early favourite in the opener. She did a good job to win scooting around her home track of Cranbourne on debut but gets vastly different conditions here onto a bigger track away from home and up against a better class of horse. Happy to work around her at the price.
