This four-year-old Good Journey mare has had five starts for three wins and a place. She resumed from a 36 week spell with a six length win over 1100m at Strathalbyn on 28 October, then drove through to lead and stayed there for a length win over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 9 November. Looks hard to beat here.

Heir of Tavistock (Morphettville Parks Race 8 No. 6):
This five-year-old Tavistock gelding should be at peak fitness after two runs. He resumed for two lengths 5th over 1250m at Morphettville Parks on 24 October, then hit the lead but was overpowered in the last 50m for 0.3, 0.2 length 3rd over 1300m at Penola on 8 November. He has won twice over 1600m and looks a nice each-way chance.

Li’l Kontra (Morphettville Parks Race 7 No. 2):
This four-year-old Krupt mare is the early favourite in this BM 82 handicap over 1000m. She finished 6.1 lengths 13th in the Group 1 Goodwood over 1200m at Morphettville on 16 May, then just battled steadily for 6.55 lengths 10th in a 3YO handicap over 1400m at Flemington on 6 June. Resuming after 24 weeks she has never won first-up before and I’m not expecting that to change.
