Dothraki | (Mount Gambier Race 6 No. 3)

Don’t get this runner confused with the Dothraki we knew and loved with Team Snowden, this is a gelding who is merely nine runs into his career. He has had two forgetful runs this preparation and although they were both seconds, he probably should have broken his maiden status by now. First-up he missed the kick by 4 lengths only to finish 0.1 of a length to Foxys Star before heading to Geelong second-up and going down almost 1.5 lengths, even though the rider lost the whip in the run. He is third-up here, against much easier competition, drawn well, maps well and of course, he handles the conditions. Now is his time.

Current Price: $2.70

Dr Dee Dee | (Mount Gambier Race 4 No.4)

This son of Dr. Doute’s has a habit of missing the kick like he did first-up, but with the blindfold last start, he wasn’t that far off them on release. He did very little in the straight though despite it being a slightly weaker grade than this, it was a strong benchmark 64 on a Saturday against some classy ones over an unsuitable distance. He goes to the 1300m now which suits and the wide draw is fine as he will likely be a touch slow out and settle towards the rear in this small eight-horse field. Kayla Crowther is back on and knows him well and the conditions should pose too much of an issue. I expect him to be flying late with even luck though I want the price to drift a touch.

Current Price: $3.60
