This four-year-old Spirit of Boom gelding trained by Richard & Chantelle Jolly has six wins and seven places from 16 starts. He was beaten off by the winner at the 250m and battled on to hold 2nd by 2.9 lengths over 1100m at Morphettville on 9 October, then boxed on gamely for a close 2nd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 23 October. Returns from a six week let-up and rates highly.

This five-year-old Eurozone gelding trained by Travis Doudle has five wins and five places from 28 starts and has won two of five starts this campaign. He got there in the final strides for a 0.5 win over 1000m at Port Lincoln on 12 November, then kept battling for 1.2 lengths 6th over 1050m at Morphettville on 27 November. Is on a seven day back-up and takes a 3kg claim. Looks worth an each-way bet.

Squizzy Mizzy (Morphettville Parks Race 9 No. 9):
This four-year-old Squamosa mare trained by Phillip Stokes is the early favourite in this BM 60 Handicap over 1000m. She got to the front but weakened out in the final 200m for 2.8 lengths 6th over 1100m at Morphettville on 16 October, then worked hard for 0.9 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 13 November. Has trouble finishing her races off and I’m prepared to risk her.
