Our Doomben Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Kerchak (Doomben Race 6 No. 4)
With a win and a place from two starts, this three-year-old Tarzino gelding trained by David Vandyke has started his career well. He debuted with a close 2nd on a heavy track over 1200m at Sunshine Coast on 28 November, then he led all the way for a 4.2 length win over 1350m at Ipswich on 24 December. Ryan Maloney sticks with him and he looks talented enough to win this Class 1 handicap.

Outback Gladiator (Doomben Race 4  No. 7):
This six-year-old Outback Prince gelding trained by Chris Munce has three wins and seven places from 22 starts. He set a new 2200m track record with a 0.4 length win at Ipswich on 15 December, then fought hard to win by a length on heavy going over 2200m at Sunshine Coast on 2 January. Is in great form and looks a great each-way chance.

Stormy Rock (Doomben Race 7 No. 1):
This five-year-old Fastnet Rock gelding trained by Matthew Dunn is the early favourite in this Class 2 handicap over 1350m. He ran on without threatening for 1.3 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Ipswich on 3 December, then had some interference before running on late for 3 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Doomben on 26 December. He will run his usual honest race but others look to have better chances.

Key Comments The rail is true from the 1600 to the winning post and out 3 metres for the remainder. The best bet I have priced nearly a moral and runs towards the end of the day.
