Desert Lord (Doomben Race 7 No. 5)
This six-year-old High Chaparral gelding has had two starts since resuming from a 19 week spell. He bolted in for a 2.25 length win in a class 6 plate over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 29 August, then settled 5th and ran on for 0.1, 0.2 length 3rd in an open quality handicap over 1400m at Eagle Farm on 3 October. He only just missed there and looks the likely winner.

Thine Is The Power (Doomben Race 4 No. 3):
This five-year-old Street Boss mare trained by Toby Edmonds has four wins and 11 places from 21 starts. She performed well at her first Queensland preparation for the stable with two wins and a place from three starts. She has placed in both trials and looks well-suited in a fillies and mares race. She looks an excellent each-way bet.

Alert And Ready  (Doomben Race 1 No. 1):
This Defcon filly is the early favourite in this 2YO fillies handicap over 1110m. She has had three starts and lost the rider at her debut then placed at her next two starts. Some of the fillies in this race have been trialling very well and one has already won a race so there is not a lot of value here.
