Our Doomben Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.
Niedorp (Doomben Race 1 No. 6)
This Not A Single Doubt mare trained by Tony Gollan finished last campaign with 0.5 length 4th in the Listed Silk Stocking for fillies and mares over 1200m at Gold Coast on 16 May, then 0.8, 0.1 length 3rd in the Listed Mick Dittman 3YO Plate over 1000m at Eagle Farm on 6 June. She resumes from a 20 week spell, has a great first-up record and has won a recent trial at Doomben. She has three wins and two places from five starts at the track and looks very hard to beat.

Soxagon (Doomben Race 8 No. 3):
This five-year-old gelding trained by Mark Currie at Toowoomba has six wins and six places from 17 starts. He won by 1.25 lengths over 1350m at Doomben on 27 June, then only battled for 1.5 length 4th over 1400m at Sunshine Coast. He resumes from a 15 week spell and goes well first-up. He has never been unplaced at this track and can handle soft going. Looks a nice each-way bet.

Fisticuffs (Doomben Race 7 No. 9):
This four-year-old Redoubte’s Choice gelding is the early favourite in this Class 6 Plate over 1350m. He won by 0.2 length over 1200m at Doomben on 12 September, then was slowly away when he finished 3.4 lengths 6th over 1350m at Doomben on 10 October. This is a very open race with several last start winners and he does not look like value.
