Chico Milagro (Doomben Race 3 No. 8)
This I Am Invincible gelding won well last start and goes well on soft going. He battled on for 2.7 lengths 6th over 1350m at Ipswich on 18 July, then settled midfield and took over at the 250m and raced away for a 4 length win over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 1 August. That was a nice win and this looks a suitable race for him to make it back-to-back wins.

Sir Barnabus (Doomben Race 2 No. 2):
This Rothesay gelding tends to race well at this distance range. He came from 9th to finish 0.5 lengths, 0.2 lengths 3rd over 2150m at Ipswich on 18 July where he was doing his best work late. Last start he took over at the 250m and drew away for a strong 2.5 length win over 2200m at Eagle Farm on 1 August. He looks worth an each-way bet at the current price.

This Pierro gelding is the early favourite in this BM 78 handicap over 1600m. He finished 0.8 lengths 2nd over 1640m at Doomben on a soft track on 29 July, then was brushed at the 250m, fought on and protested unsuccessfully against the winner to be 2nd over 1650m at Doomben on 12 August. He hasn’t won in 6 previous races at Doomben and does not look like value.
