Our Doomben Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.
Mass Destruction (Doomben Race 2 No. 1)
This Spirit Of Boom gelding trained by Tony Gollan has two wins and four places from seven starts. He fought on near the rail for a length 2nd over 1200m at Gold Coast on 19 September, then hit the front at the 200m and held on for a 0.5 length win over 1350m at Eagle Farm on 3 October. He has placed at Doomben twice before and should be winning this.

The Great Boombino (Doomben Race 5 No. 6):
This five-year-old Spirit Of Boom mare was run down in the final strides for 0.2 length 2nd over 1200m at Doomben on 5 September, then began well but didn’t handle the undulating Toowoobma track when 7.5 lengths 11th over 1300m there on 26 September. She is better suited here against her own sex and looks a fair each-way chance.

Glenall (Doomben Race 7 No. 1):
This seven-year-old Redoubte’s Choice gelding is the early favourite in this open handicap over 1600m. He recently changed trainers from the Hawkes team to Kelly Schweida at Eagle Farm. He finished 4.3 lengths 6th in the Group 3 Bill Ritchie handicap over 1400m at Randwick on 19 September, then finished 4.2 lengths 13th in the Group 1 Epsom Handicap over 1600m at Randwick on 3 October. This is a big drop in grade but all his wins have been over 1100m and the distance is a query.
