H Z Tourbillon (Happy Valley Race 7 No.9)

It was a massive effort by the Eurozone gelding first up when finishing 0.4 of a length off the winner Winning Icey when finishing second. He had work to do from the barrier and post-race was found to have had a substantial amount of blood in his trachea, which highlights how considerable his effort was last start with 61kg. He steps up in class which means he drops 7.2kg, has drawn perfectly and maps to get a nice run throughout. Definitely worth a bet.

Ping Hai Galaxy (Happy Valley Race 1 No.3)

Did too much work from an awkward barrier last start, so I am happy to forgive and he has since trialled well in preparation for this. The drop back to 1000m looks a nice move and the addition of Zac Purton should give him every chance from a plum draw. He should be strong over the final furlong and if he can conserve that energy throughout, he should be right in the finish.
