Rattan Kingdom (Happy Valley Race 5 No.9)

Tonight is the night for this bloke as he has finally drawn a nice gate. He was very good first up when drawing barrier seven, finishing a length off Lucky Gor in second before drawing wide last start with Purton going on. They dropped back due to the poor draw and did a lot wrong in the run, but still managed to finish the race off nicely, running the quickest rated final 400m and 200m of the entire meeting whilst cracking the top five for both final 800 and 600m. They have drawn barrier four now which is ideal, Purton remains aboard and he can get into a nice position with his main danger Flaming Passion to his inside, which should be able to give him a nice cart into the race. He just needs luck and He should be winning this race.

Lucky Diamond (Happy Valley Race 8 No.11)

Another tough way to finish the card with an 1800m race but there is next to no pace on paper, so I reckon Lucky Diamond each way is the value play of the night. He won well first up over 1800m here at the Valley before stepping up to Class 3 where he ran a respectable 1.7 length fourth to Intrepid Winner, Ensured, and Savvy Kingman, all of who he faces again tonight. He meets 2.5kg better off and Savvy Kingman 1kg better off for that loss, which had excuses as he began tardy and had to use a bit of energy to get into a nice position, which was further back than what he is used to riding. He came home well, despite copping a bump in the straight and losing a little bit of momentum. He has drawn beautifully here in barrier two and with no pace engaged, I expect him in the front two. He has recorded all four of his wins here at the Valley and three of the four wins were over this distance. Great each way bet in the last.

Horse Racing Tips: SA Wednesday 14th May 2025

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is +4 metres in the 1200m chute and +7 metres for the remainder. Best Bet Kersee (Murray Bridge Race 1 No. 10) She ran 3rd at her only start in a harder 1100m race here on 30th April. She did a few things wrong but hit the line nicely and gets Jake Toeroek this time. Top pick. Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Wednesday 14th May 2025

Key Comments The track is rated soft and the rail is +3 metres the entire circuit. As the Bat Out Of Hell over 1100m was abandoned at Gold Coast on Saturday it has been added to this meeting as race 7. Best Bet King Boom (Ipswich Race 4 No. 2) He finished 2nd over 1240m at Ipswich when resuming from a 25 week spell, after leading most of the way. Should be fitter now and should be able to go one better.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Thursday 15th May 2025

Key Comments Night racing takes place at Pakenham. The best bet looks very hard to topple in the last and put the writing on the wall last time out. Best Bet Fabrice (Pakenham Race 8 No. 6) Good effort last time out in a race no harder than this. Drawn well, knocking on the door and looks very tough to hold out in this highly suitable affair. Horse Racing Tips: NSW Thursday 15th May 2025

Key Comments Expecting all runners to have their chance on this track. The best bet was a certainty beat last time out and can atone this time around. Best Bet Cathedral Cove (Hawkesbury Race 4 No. 3) Should have won last start when given a howler ride. Maps a little sticky but should be extremely hard to beat with any luck this time around and finds a race lacking depth. Analyst: Bryce Parker
