Rattan Kingdom (Happy Valley Race 5 No.9)

Tonight is the night for this bloke as he has finally drawn a nice gate. He was very good first up when drawing barrier seven, finishing a length off Lucky Gor in second before drawing wide last start with Purton going on. They dropped back due to the poor draw and did a lot wrong in the run, but still managed to finish the race off nicely, running the quickest rated final 400m and 200m of the entire meeting whilst cracking the top five for both final 800 and 600m. They have drawn barrier four now which is ideal, Purton remains aboard and he can get into a nice position with his main danger Flaming Passion to his inside, which should be able to give him a nice cart into the race. He just needs luck and He should be winning this race.

Lucky Diamond (Happy Valley Race 8 No.11)

Another tough way to finish the card with an 1800m race but there is next to no pace on paper, so I reckon Lucky Diamond each way is the value play of the night. He won well first up over 1800m here at the Valley before stepping up to Class 3 where he ran a respectable 1.7 length fourth to Intrepid Winner, Ensured, and Savvy Kingman, all of who he faces again tonight. He meets 2.5kg better off and Savvy Kingman 1kg better off for that loss, which had excuses as he began tardy and had to use a bit of energy to get into a nice position, which was further back than what he is used to riding. He came home well, despite copping a bump in the straight and losing a little bit of momentum. He has drawn beautifully here in barrier two and with no pace engaged, I expect him in the front two. He has recorded all four of his wins here at the Valley and three of the four wins were over this distance. Great each way bet in the last.

The best bet looks well placed to notch up another win. Best Bet She's Pretty Rich (Wangaratta Race 4 No. 3) Doesn't win out of turn but did 2 starts back and again put in a solid effort last run in Morphetville. Looks well placed here on the weights scale and should give

Best Bet Levar (Gatton Race 1 No. 4) Levar was a close 3rd at Ipswich at his only start. From the inside barrier he should go straight to the front and should be able to stay there. Top rated. Key Comments Suitable track for those who can sustain a long finale. The rail is in 3 metres from the 1100m mark to the winning post and true for the remainder. The track is in the soft range. The best bet brings in some very strong form lines. Best Bet Recruiter (Kembla Grange Race 5 No. 4) Tough draw to overcome but love the form lines around this runner with 3 horses to have subsequently run and won including Art Volant and Waterski
