Best Bet
Kimura (Canberra Race 5 No. 7)
This three-year-old filly resumes here after a 19 week spell. She won a maiden handicap over 13000m at Newcastle on 15 October, then was a narrow winner over 1400m at Newcastle on 29 October. Has had 2 trials and looks well-placed here.

Each Way
Shores Of Avalon (Canberra Race 6 No. 6)
This 6YO mare has been very consistent this campaign and has placed at her last 3 starts. She finished 2nd in the Wagga Scamper over 1000m at Wagga on 26 January, then ran 1.2 lengths 3rd in the National Sprint Preview over 1200m at Canberra on 24 February when she was mowed down late. Back to 1000m suits and she looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay
Jumeirah Beach (Race 4 No. 2)
This 4YO is the early favourite in this BM 65 Handicap over 1400m. He won 2 races in a row at the end of last year at Muswellbrook and Mudgee. He resumed from a 9 week break for 4.3 lengths 11th over 1280m at Muswellbrook where he was eased down late. He is drawn wide, up in weight and looks too short a price in this field.
