Raced over 1400m until 2018 and 1100m from 2019. In 2021 it was moved forward 3 weeks to Makybe Diva Stakes day instead of its Turnbull Stakes Day spot.

Interesting trivia: 2019 was the first year over 1100m – before then the distance was 1400m. Chris Waller won with September Run in 2020 then with Ranch Hand in 2021. In 2022 Spacewalk was first past the post but lost on protest to Buenos Noches.
