Our Rosehill Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. The feature event is the ATC Winter Cup (Race 5).

Osipenko (Rosehill Race 1 No. 1)

This two-year-old Pierro colt has had one start for a win. He started at big odds but sprinted to the front at the 130m and raced away for a 3.6 length win over 1300m at Rosehill on 4 June in a very easy win. Should remain unbeaten.

Blaze A Trail (Rosehill Race 10 No. 3)

This four-year-old Criterion stallion from the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace stable has four wins and three places from his 13 starts. At the end of last campaign he failed to handle the heavy going and finished 12 lengths 9th over 1300m at Rosehill on 27  November. After spelling for 23 weeks he resumed for a narrow win over 1200m at Caulfield on 7 May. Looks well placed here and is a solid each-way bet.

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Key Comments The best bet is in the first and was explosive on debut. Expecting all to have their chance on this track that usually plays fair. Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker
