This is the feature of the day and it is a cracking race. This Demerit gelding is yet to finish outside of the top two in seven career starts and although he is stepping up in grade, I don’t see that ending here. He matched his previous figures last start even though he was wide without cover for the entire race, and he still managed to put the field away with ease. He gets a much better draw here and back up to a mile is beneficial. I expect him to salute.

Current Price: $2.60

Stay Safe | (Belmont Race 8 No.1)

This is another cracking race and thought this bloke was value. Two starts back he beat home all-bar Devoted in a 2.75 length defeat in second, though he still beat home the rest of the field by 1.5 lengths or so. He then stepped up to Listed grade second-up but he had too much to do from the wide gate, especially with the lack of fitness. He comes back to benchmark 72 grade and steps up to the mile which suits. He is third up with a nice draw and a 2kg claim, I am expecting a big run.

Current Price: $12.00 / $3.80

She is no doubt the best horse in this race on face value but she has drawn wide and goes up 3kg from her last start performance. She can win without me at the price.

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments The track is Soft and the rail is +4 metres the entire circuit. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Sky Land (Hobart Race 1 No. 10) This 2YO filly takes on the older horses here but has been very game

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments 8 race card with a few short favourites that look hard to beat. The best bet comes up in race 5 and is knocking on the door for a win. Best Bet Subrising (Ballarat Race 5 No. 6) Comes off the back of 2 second placings and Egan will ride from the wide draw. A lot to like about the past few runs and looks a better hope than the favourite who may just get too far back in this.
