Excellent Peers | (Happy Valley Race 7 No.2)

This is a very thin Class 4 and I expect the son of Jimmy Choux to capitalise. Since obtaining a cross-over noseband two starts go and losing the tongue-tie, his performances have improved nicely. Two runs back he was no match for Above All on a wet surface, before running down Exuberant last start nicely, to win by almost a length. His sectionals were good, running the sixth quickest last 400m of the entire meeting and overall the run was well rated. Despite going up in weight, he has drawn the perfect barrier and should once again get a perfect run.

Leslie | (Happy Valley Race 5 No.2)

The son of Shooting To Win was very good first-up when having the blinkers applied for the first time, running a nice third behind Kai Xin Dragon. Last start he went back to 1000m which I don’t think suited him, especially being at Happy Valley for the first time and the wet track/wide barrier threw more spanners into the mix. He comes back to 1200m, and a good draw, he is a big chance to make amends and finally break his maiden status.

Last win was so dominant and you can fan wide and win on this track. Very difficult barrier but backing in Schiller. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Cruizingdafield (Wagga

Best Bet Typhoon Taavi (Eagle Farm Race 3 No. 3) This mare from the Tony Gollan stable has won her last 2 races by big margins. She has heaps of natural speed and gets a 3kg claim for Tahlia Fenton who has had success on her before. Leading hope. Check
