Insaaf | (Morphettville Parks Race 4 No.7)

Siding with this mare who is looking for back-to-back wins as she peaks in her fitness. She was dominant in her 3.3 length win at Strathalbyn in weaker grade, carrying the 60kg whilst relishing getting the blinkers on for the first time. She sticks at a similar distance and she has drawn/maps perfectly to get a nice run throughout. Her history on wet going is mixed but both times were for a different trainer and in much harder grades. I think we can see something special from her here.

More Shots | (Morphettville Parks Race 6 No.10)

There are quite a few runners who haven’t come out after racing on Wednesday so pricing may change a little. This girl is coming into this race third-up following a decent run in an easier grade, where she almost got the job done. She has now had two runs for new trainer Greg Lesnikowski and she has performed better in those two starts than she did in the preparation prior. The draw is ideal and she maps to get a brilliant run throughout and her form on rain-effected going is good enough to be ultra-competitive.

 Current Price: $9.50 / $3.00

Suggested Bets

All Suggested bets will be posted here on Race Day before Midday

Race 3 – No.9 Totally Discreet

Loved the trial heading into this where she did everything she needed to do in preparation for this. Holder takes the ride, drawn ideally, maps well. Just needs to handle the going and she will be right in the finish.

Race 4 – No.7 Insaaf – Best Bet

Dominant in 3.3L win at Strathalbyn in weaker grade LS carrying 60kg. Relished having the blinkers on for the first time. Drawn perfectly and maps well. Has a mixed history on the wet with a different trainer in much harder grades. Big chance to make a statement.

Race 6 – No.10 More Shots – Next Best

Has had two starts for a new trainer and already shown she is better than her last preparation for her previous trainer. She’s drawn a nice gate and maps well and has shown in the past that the wet isn’t a big issue. Huge chance to make a mark here third-up in a wide-open race.

Race 7 – No.11 Agrimony

Now with the Will Clarken yard. Agrimony is a former Chris Waller trained runner who has had the gear stripped off and trialled massively over a sprint distance. Drawn and maps well and he handled the going overseas. Big chance e/w.

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The best bet is in the first and was explosive on debut. Expecting all to have their chance on this track that usually plays fair. Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker
