Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Buster Bash (Belmont Race 1 No. 1)
This four-year-old Trade Fair gelding trained by David Harrison has two wins and a place from six starts. He got to the front and fought hard for a 0.41 length win over 1500m at Pinjarra Park on 8 July, then led all the way for a 5.97 length win on a heavy track over 1700m at Belmont on 21 July. He has a 2kg claim and should be able to make it a hat-trick of wins.

That’s Funny Az (Belmont Race 8 No. 9):
This five-year-old Snippetson gelding trained by Dion Luciani has seven wins and five places from 22 starts. He led until the 150m and fought on for 1.86 lengths 4th in the Diggers Cup over 1800m at Ascot on 24 April, then led until overhauled on the line for 0.27 length 2nd over 1600m at Ascot on 15 May. Resumes here after 12 weeks and looks a nice each-way chance.

Notorious One (Belmont Race 6 No. 3):
This six-year-old Animal Kingdom gelding trained by Chris & Michael Gangemi has five wins and a place from 11 starts. He ran on strongly to arrive late for a 0.5 length win over 1200m at Belmont on 10 July, then wasn’t fully tested when 0.6 length 3rd over 1400m at Belmont. Is up against some tough opposition and  does not offer value.

Key Comments There is a huge 11-race program where the feature is the Group 3 Queen Mother Memorial Cup over 2400m (race 8). The rail is in the B position. There is plenty of rain forecast so the track will be a yielding surface. The first race is at 12.30 pm Hong Kong time which is 2.30 pm AEST. Best Bet Storming Dragon (Sha Tin Race 7 No. 8) Storming Dragon finished a length 3rd at his only start. He’s won a trial

Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way That's Justified (Alice Springs Race 4 No. 2) This 9YO notched up his 22nd win

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight.
