Our Randwick Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Edison (Randwick Race 8 No. 7)
This four-year-old Fastnet Rock gelding trained by Bjorn Baker has five wins and five place from 16 starts. He was the leader straightening but was run down late for 0.75 lengths 2nd over 1300m at Newcastle on 14 November, then was headed at the 200m and fought back gamely for a narrow win over 1400m at Rosehill Gardens on 5 December. He has a good record at Randwick and can handle soft going and looks the likely winner.

Each Way

Nuremburg Castle (Randwick Race 2 No. 13):
This four-year-old gelding from the Matthew Dale stable at Canberra has one win and five places from six starts, and has placed at all three starts this campaign. He chased hard the last 100m for 0.57, 0.27 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Canberra on 27 November, then looked the winner at the 100m but an inside runner fought back to win and he finished 0.12 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Canberra on 13 December. His only win was on soft going and he is a good each-way proposition again.

Best Lay

Big Parade (Randwick Race 9 No. 9):
This four-year-old Deep Field gelding is the early favourite in this BM 88 Handicap over 1200m. At the end of the last campaign he raced away for an impressive 5.5 length win over 1250m at Canterbury Park on 9 September. Following a 10 week break he resumed over 1200m at Kembla Grange where he led straightening but faded late to finish 2.5 lengths 6th on 21 November. He is down in weight but up in class and does not look like value.
