Our Gold Coast Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Test Of War (Gold Coast Race 8 No. 7)
This five-year-old Testa Rossa gelding has had 19 starts for four wins and three places. He briefly hit the front at the top of the straight but was overpowered in the final 200m and finished 6 lengths 7th over 1350m at Cessnock on 2 June before spelling. After a 23 week spell he resumed with a 2.75 length win over 1200m at Gold Coast on 14 November, where he looked very strong. Has the speed to overcome the wide barrier and should race on the speed.

Each Way

Kateru (Gold Coast Race 5  No. 4):
This four-year-old Sepoy gelding has two wins and three places from nine starts. He ran on strongly for 2.33 lengths 2nd over 1400m at Newcastle on 20 June then settled towards the rear and only battled in the straight for 5.7 lengths 8th on a heavy track over 1500m at Rosehill on 11 July. Resumes here after 20 weeks and has placed at both previous first-up starts so is worth an each-way bet.

Best Lay

Kandanga Miss (Gold Coast Race 2  No. 10):
This four-year-old More Than Ready mare is the early favourite in this maiden plate over 1400m. She finished 1, 0.2 lengths 3rd over 1100m at Gold Coast on 31 October, then was 2, 1.5 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Ipswich on 18 November. She offers no value in a race with many chances.
