Big Bash Match Previews & Tips – 18th January

After a good start to the tournament the Hurricanes have slumped to seventh on the BBL ladder. They have been pretty comprehensively outplayed in their last three matches.

The Thunder have also lost multiple games (2) in a row.  However I think they are still going much better than Hurricanes.  They ran into a rampant Scorchers outfit in Perth and then were victims of the Duckworth Lewis System in the rain affected Sydney Derby.

We know how well the Thunder play Manuka and their bowling matches up well against the Hurricanes batting.   We saw this earlier this month when these two sides met.  The Thunder restricted the Hurricanes to 128 off their 20 overs on that occasion.

Conversely I think that the Thunder batting line up can get a hold of the Hurricanes bowling and this game presents as a good opportunity to back the Thunder in the Team to score the most 6’s and win the match market.
