Detroit Lions @ New York Giants

Monday 21st November – 5 am Sydney time

Following back-to-back wins against division rivals Green Bay and Chicago, the Lions now have to travel to New Jersey to face a Giants outfit who come out of the bye with a nice win over the Texans. Despite winning their last two games, the Lions were very ordinary against the run and now will have to face Saquon Barkley who is having an outstanding season. In the nine games, the Giants have played this season, the average margin whether they win or lose is 6.2pts which drops to 5pts in just the games they have won. The Lions are hot and cold with their defence and offence but based on their current run and the fact the Giants don’t win flashy they just win, backing the Giants in a tight game looks the way to go.

Washington Commanders @ Houston Texans

Monday 21st November – 5 am Sydney time

This is going to be a fantastic game.

The Houston Texans are on a four-game losing streak but it’s not as bad as it seems and they have been very competitive in all four games. They posted 20pts on the Raiders, matched it with their divisional rivals in the Titans, went all the way with Philadelphia and last weekend, they didn’t give up against the Giants. They will be facing a Commanders team who has won four of their past five with their one loss being to the Vikings in a tight affair late. Their 11pt win over the Eagles in week 10 was the highlight of their season and Taylor Heinicke is flying a quarterback which is giving their fanbase something to cheer about.

I know the Commanders have to travel on the short backup but they are really gelling at the moment and this is a very winnable game for them. I still expect a tight match but the Commanders to win in the end.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers

Monday 21st November – 12:20 pm Sydney time

This looks like a nice game for Sunday Night Football.

We love watching divisional games as they always provide entertaining contests. These two met back in week 2 in Kansas City which ended in a Chiefs win by just 3pts. The Chiefs have won five of their last six but it hasn’t been smooth sailing for them as they barely got past Jacksonville, Tennessee and the Raiders with the 49ers the only game they really took control of.

The Chargers on the other hand have won four of their past six with a much weaker schedule and they were not that convincing at all. Over their last three games, they lost to the 49ers, barely beat the Falcons, and got embarrassed by the Seahawks.

Despite the Chiefs being away from home, they have been the better football team for much of this season and I expect them to hand the Chargers another loss in a tight affair.
