A winning return to the NBA picks after a month off thanks to the Spurs coming home with a wet sail after an abysmal start to cash our 11th win from 15 plays. A very lacklustre slate of NBA games but again there is one match that provides a betting opportunity

Philadelphia 76ers v Sacramento Kings

2:00 pm 10 February AEST

The Philadelphia 76ers have had a fantastic first third of the NBA season so far, a clear second pick in the teams coming out of the East so far. Joel Embiid is playing at an MVP level, Ben Simmons after a very slow start has finally come alive offensively from the start of February and Seth Curry and his ruthless 3 pt scoring is back after a covid induced layoff. This is a team that is seriously firing on all cylinders and while the Nets might own the East for now, that certainly can change quickly.

The Sacramento Kings on the other hand have been a surprise packet of the season so far. Predicted by many to be in the bottom 3 teams of the West, they currently have a winning record, thanks to wins in 7 of their last 8 games. They have been a revelation from the often forgotten Sacramento teams of years gone by, with a plethora of young talent that while probably wont play playoffs this year, is certainly on the cusp of being a contender in the future.

The match up here despite it being a late west coast game (often hampering east coast based teams) is fantastic for the 76ers. The Kings do not have a comfortable matchup for Embiid who should run riot here, while Ben Simmons will likely have the role to lock down the Kings star player in Fox. Tobias Harris is simply too big for players like Barnes and Hield, and too swift for a big like Bagley to contain. The 76ers bench is also extremely superior with players like Milton and up and coming prospect Maxey far greater to what Sacramento are bringing off the bench.

The 76ers have opened up a -4.5 point favourite here, and while the price of the minus has slightly trimmed from opening, the number is still a comfortable one to be on the side of the visiting team
