Backawinners nearly had a big payday last week Jasmine Suwannapura-$226 was in the lead during the last round and needed a birdie on the reachable par 5, 18th to be in the three women playoff. Sadly Attaya Thitikull made the birdie, Jasmine didn’t. Still a $69 place payout was still a winning week. In the other event, Thomas Aikin ($501 each way to 8 places also lead in the third round, started with a disastrous double bogey fought back to be in the top 8, but double bogeyed 16 to drop out of the fight. He bravely birdied the last two holes but missed a payday of $100 for us by two shots. Our players in the fight at the end will provide a long price winner shortly, I’m sure.
