Review of last weeks golf tips
European Tour
Well backawinners, one must say that we very nearly got it right last week.
Troy Merritt ($410) lost in a 6 hole playoff to Cam Davis, one of my Players I often tip but at $85 this week, I thought was a bit short. Mark Anderson ($1000) also ran 8th.In the LPGA, our tips Ana Belac ($690) and Emma Talley ($690) tied for fourth. Had their odds each way been slightly higher ($400 vis a vis $250, we would have had a double collect. In addition, Jaye Marie Green an each way tip at $1000 was running 5th for much of the last round. In Europe, Grant Forrest ($510) got within a shot of eventual winner, Australian Lucas Herbert, but dunked one in the water at the last to lose his chance of winning. Not quite the chocolates!
Scottish Open
Onwards and upwards, the European Tour goes to the Tom Doak designed Renaissance Club b for the Scottish Open. The course is 7303 yards (6680m) par 71 and the degree of difficulty is a function of how windy it is. Last year Aaron Rai won in calm conditions.

The LPGA travels to Highland Meadows in Sylvania, Ohio for the Marathon Classic. The 6686 yard, (6114m) course par 72 will probably play from 6400-6600 for the ladies.

The PGA Tour goes to the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run, a DA Weibring (Donald Albert) at 7258 yards (6637m) par 71 has a course rating of 75.8 and a slope of 144, yet Paul Goydos a short hitter shot 59 here!
