Last week, Backawinners we looked very well placed with one round to play at the Silverado event in the Napa valley. Nate Lashley ($600 each way) was tied for 6th, Scott Stallings ($360) was two behind the leader as was Beau Hossler ($450), Dawie Van der Walt ($1000) and Peter Malnati ($510) also had chances. Sadly, the only one who held his place was Malnati, Stallings held on for a T6 which was a losing result.

The Ryder Cup
The PGA Tour and the European Tour focus is only on the Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, a very long difficult Links course in Wisconsin. Pete and Alice Dye designed the monster at 7790 yards (7123m) and those who have played a Dye course will know that many difficult and quirky conditions are presented to the players to overcome. The course rating of 77.2 and Slope rating of 152 demonstrate this difficulty.
There are a myriad of betting opportunities but predicting the winner of the event is not easy. Numbers suggest the strong US team will win, but recently the Europeans have dominated. If I wished to have a bet at the odds I’d back the Europeans at $2.78 on Betfair.
My initial suggestions however are for Backawinners to bet in Top combined Points market.
Rookies have a good record in this event
And in the Top team points scorer
If I see any value in daily matches I will update as we go
